PAST PROJECTS

As well as buying and selling shopfittings Resource provide a shopfitting service at very competitive prices. Interior design, building or modifying fittings to suit their environment... take a look at the examples below of just a few of our past projects to see what we could do for you.

Aroma Coffee Shop, Haxby nr York (main works completed September 08)
Our largest project to date, the brief was to convert a building which had hosted two businesses into a one larger Starbucks-type modern coffee shop with a quality finish. We collaborated on the design and managed the entire project. This involved building works to demolish the old toilets and rebuild disabled toilets and stockroom areas, plumbing and electrical works to service the kitchen & toilets and to provide for background and feature lighting. Our joiners installed quality walnut finish doors and trims which complimented the rustic walnut Amtico flooring. Likewise the bespoke made cabinets and counters came in a walnut and red laminate finish. Resource provided and installed all refrigeration, air conditioning and catering equipment (some used/refurbished, some brand new). The end result is a very professional finish and this new business has, to date, being a roaring success.

Hardys For Everything, Telford (completed September 2008)

Adhering to a very tight deadline (from initial enquiry to installation in 1 week!) we worked with Mr Hardy to find an economical and effective shelving solution to transform a large ex-car showroom space into an attractive 'value' shop. To achieve this we needed 50 metres of gondola shelving. Most of this came from our stock of used-refurbished Tegometall, while a small amount of brand new components made up the rest. We also used new epos rail strips along with inserts which matched the shop's brand colour. All the shelving was hauled to the site and installed by our experienced team in just 2 days. The customer was very happy with the job and that he was able to quickly stock up in time for the Christmas trade.

Redcliffe Farm Shop, Lebberston, Scarborough (main works completed March 07)
We were proud to be involved with this prestigious, high quality development. The client's own builders and contractors had carried out an excellent conversion from a barn to a farm shop and restaurant/kitchen area.
Resource worked closely with the client's plans & ideas to provide an attractive and practical farm shop and delicatessen. We provided almost all the (mainly new) refrigeration and the bespoke joinery work to integrate and clad the units. Rustic solid wood shelving and nosings over a 'button board' panelling in cream complimented the 'country' feel.

Suresave, Stockton on Tees (completed February 07)
Resource aimed to meet the client's brief to budget for a clean, simple and 'high street' quality Pound Shop / Discount type store on the main shopping street of Stockton. We utilised refurbished shelving with new trims and price rails and added a refurbished counter. New slatwall was added to exposed walls and pillars while the corner office was removed and the suspended ceilings partially replaced. Acrylic & wire window displays were installed and a new temporary sign to the frontage finished the job within two days and allowed trading to begin immediately.

J.A. Magson warehouse, Banbury (completed April 06)
Using very clean heavy duty shelving taken from one of the large supermarket chains, we turned an empty mezzanine floor into a complete shelved out cash and carry area for a leading stationary wholesaler. All shelving was cleaned and refurbished and fitted with plinths & new pricerails with colour coded inserts to match the customer's branding.

Dacre Stores, North Yorkshire (completed September 06)
Another vintage look, quality finish project using solid hardwoods and bespoke joinery to transform a very tight space into a highly useable, busy village deli & store. Brand new refrigeration throughout. Serve overs and a patisserie counter were built into a counter system which also incorporated a hot carvery unit. Oak veneers, solid nosings and bergundy laminate were used to create the customer's required look.

Castaway Tackle, Lincoln (completed February 06)

As well as supplying slatwall and white faced wall shelving, Resource designed, constructed and fitted a rustic style stained rod display with stairs, a platform and bannister.

Beerhouse Self Drive shop (completed February 06)
At Beerhouse we designed, built & installed a new coffee machine unit in silver laminate and re-laminated counter to match. We installed a canopy fascia around top of the shop and replaced some damaged shelving and units with a mixture of new and reconditioned materials. We also suppied a gondola to the centre.

Love Food deli, Snaith (completed July 05)
Resource managed this complete project, turning a disused front room into a period featured organic Fair Trade cafe/deli and wholefood shop. Intalling slate flooring and granite worktops to bespoke manufactured kitchen units, with shop shelving in button board cream with solid oak shelving and trimming, to meet the customer's brief for a look of quality that was 'just so'. Even the new serve over counter was clad in keeping with the vintage feel and an array of lighting techniques were employed to enhance the ambience.

Petwise- South Wales (completed May 05)
Our job was to supply and install 44 bays of wall and gondola shelving (mainly used) including peg back panels, slatwall gondola and a plain 3.6m counter.

Leconfield Village Stores (completed January 05)
This was a complete shop fitting project. After builders removed a wall to expand the shop we installed a new suspended ceiling c/w energy saving light fittings and a newly carpet tiled floor. Walls were clad with slatwall with plastic inserts which matched the store's branding. Resource designed and built a 3m x 3m bespoke 'L' shaped counter to take centre stage incorporating the till system and integral confectionary shelves. For the shelving we utilised a mixture of refurbished/used and new to meet the customer's requirements. We also devised a 'feature corner' using silver and pewter finishes with glass and spotlighting.

Chic and Showing - Hessle (completed October 04)
Resource worked with the customer to adapt high quality fashion fittings to their reqirements, utilising powder coated grey with white and stainless steel fittings. These were fully refurbished to 'new' standard. We designed and constructed the underwear room using beech slatwall with aluminium trim and matching display plinths. Similarly matching fitting rooms were made and installed using a complementary light grey trim throughout. For the window display a stage was built using stainless steel 'puck' fittings. The shop sign was created using chrome on white from the customers own design.

Toyteck - London (completed September 04)
Situated on Golders Green Road, Toyteck is a new retail outlet specialising in high-tech toys and gadgets. The owners had a very specific look in mind for the store when they asked Resource to supply glass cabinets and counter system which we refurbished to their design. Resource also designed and fitted the slatwall and shelving system as well as the glass and cable window display.

Gamecentre 2.0 - Scarborough
Here we utilised reclaimed units from another shop - resprayed and remanufactured to fit - fitted cabinets and counter on site, clad walls with slatwall, supplied and fitted shop sign and a counter for the 2nd floor cafe.

Figaro Jewellery Figaro Jewellery and Crafts - Beverley and Crafts - Beverley
Resource removed the old stud walls, plastered and redecorated, repainted shop front and supplied and fitted a new shop sign. We also supplied glass displays with new made to order base cabinets and designed and fabricated a stainless steel, glass and cable suspension window display.

Lena's Deli - Hull
Our design brief was to turn a traditional cafe into a rustic/Ukrainian style deli with just a small space to work with. We completely ripped out and reboarded the cafe and then plastered the walls and ceiling. Our interior design team and decorator tackled the walls and lighting while Resource designed and manufactured rustic style shelves and menu boards and added new designs to the shop sign and front window. We also supplied refrigeration and on site fabrication and fitting of stainless steel tables and counters.
